One of my favorite Sunday night traditions is having a sunset picnic in the Hollywood Hills. Usually Sam and I just gather up whatever little goodies are around and just take off into the hills until we find a beautiful spot.

One of my favorite LA brunch spots (and a favorite spot in general) is The Pikey Cafe.
It’s a gem of a restaurant with a fresh and seasonal British menu. I frequent this spot at least once a week. It’s kind of like the bar in Cheers, everyone knows my name and I’m always well taken care of.
They always have the freshest and tastiest oysters.
I usually get their full English breakfast, but this time the persimmon salad caught my eye.
It was persimmon perfection.
Sam went with his tried and true pork belly sandwich, which is melt in your mouth good. I can never resist stealing those fat little fries.
If you’re ever in the neighborhood, I encourage you to stop by for a great meal. And of you see two girl tucked away in the booth closest to the kitchen, it’s probably me and my bestie.

LA is the ultimate city for Sunday brunch. Almost every restaurant offers a specialized brunch menu, and Laurel Hardware is definitely a huge favorite in our city of angels.
I ordered the baked rancheros and a side of the tatter tots.
It was everything the doctor ordered.
A spot worth checking out.
Happy Sunday!

The Pikey Cafe has become an extention of my living room. It’s like that bar on Cheers, everybody knows my name, and my little booth by the kitchen is always open and waiting for me.
It may sounds strange, but I love the routine of meeting my friends there on the same day every week.

I feel like I’ve been moving forever now. Sam and I have moved two apartments in two months, but I think we finally found our home. He and I spent the weekend running around town and getting new furniture and accessories to fill the space. I got lucky at tini and found us a new lamp and a few vintage letters.
Now to start planning that wedding…
