A Modern Day Goddess

A little sneak peek of the Threadsence lookbook I worked on a few weeks back.
I created all of the sets and flower arrangements and worked closely with the creative team to conceptualize the shoot.
You can see the full lookbook when it launches on Monday.

* UPDATE*
The lookbook has launched!
Come see the summer lookbook now and tell me what you think.

Souls of Mischief

I spent the last 5 months working on Threadsence's Coachella lookbook and  I'm beyond proud of what we accomplished.
You MUST watch the video and tell me what you think.
You can view the lookbook right below the video or go to Threadsence to see it in it's full glory.

Sharing is Caring

Tottaly blown with this sketch a reader sent over.

Here's a little collage UGG Australia put together of my trip to NYFW. After chatting with their team I'm pretty impressed with the brand's commitment to try incorporate an art centric focus into the curlture of the brand. See more here.

My favorite Threadsence moodboard to date. Those butterflies were handmade out of old vinly records.

A sneak peek at the Coachella inspired lookbook I worked on launching March 12th.

A little feature over on Shape.

Let's Get Real

Nothing gives me a high like being on set for a photoshoot, but I'd be lying if I said I looked anything but down right grungy ( aka dirty)  during our shoot days. And that's how I like it.
Here are a few shots of me looking prim, perfect, and glamorous at a recent lookbook shoot.
Oh and that stunning silver "wrap" billowing over my head is a space age blanket that supposedly kept our models from getting hypothermia.

What I do ...

Since I don't have an outfit post today, I thought it might be fun to share some of the creative work I've done for Threadsence. Most of what I do revolves around me dreaming up our features, lookbooks, and main page moodboards. I work closely with the creative team to conceptualize our themes, create moodboards, scout locations, build sets, and cast models. I also do most of the set styling. ( Note: I do NOT style the clothing, our amazing stylist Kat does). It's a dream job. Below are some of the latest projects I've worked on. I am most proud of my work on the We Are All Mad Here lookbook, as Threadsence pretty much gave me full control over the entire concept and set styling of the LB. We're shooting our next lookbook in February. We've been planning it since October and I can't wait see it come to life.

FUN FACT: This is not part of my "day" job at Threadsence and Ruche, it's just something I do on top of my marketing and social media work.

Happy Birthday Threadsence

As you can tell from the video above I work for the coolest company ever. Period.
We work hard, we play harder, and we have dogs running all around the office. You call it an office, I call it heaven.
Thank you Threadsence (and our big sister Ruche) for not only giving me a pretty little paycheck, but for letting me be as creative and crazy as I want to be.

Happy Birthday!

$100 Threadsence Giveaway

If you follow my Twitter, you've probably seen my tweets about dabbling in creative directing and set styling. The lookbook above is what happens when a company has way too much faith in me. I think our hard work paid off, but I'm biased. What do you think?
See the entire lookbook here.

Work and play: photoshoot with Natalie Off Duty

Just a few pictures from this weekend's shoot with Natalie Off Duty.
I had such a blast styling Natalie for our shoot. She's a dream to work with and a fun time all around.
The editorial will be up on Threadsence in a couple of weeks.

Happy Labor Day!

Magic Functionality

(top,shoes,skirt,bag- Zara, necklace-c/o Lauren Elan, bracelets- c/o besobeso, House of Harlow, ring- c/o besobeso)
My first trip to Magic Marketplace is underway and I have to say I'm having a blast. I'm so lucky to work with such a fun and creative team. We really have way too much fun for our own good.

Did you notice Bee's little cameo? Love that girl. If you don't already read her blog (which unless you live under a rock, you do) you're really missing out. The girl's style is completely unrivaled. And did I mention she's smart, funny, and down to earth?

Summer Resort

A few of my favorites from the Ruche Summer Resort lookbook I helped style.
I want to stress the "helped style" part, our stylist did most of the work.

Also check out my DIY for these colorful bracelets over on the Ruche blog.

Braided Scarf Tutorial

Re-posting the Braided Scarf Tutorial we did for the Ruche blog.

(sweater-Threadsence, scarf-Ruche)

Step 1
Brush all of your hair to one side and separate into 2 sections.

Step 2
Take a small strand from one of the sections and tie the end of your scarf around the strand.

Step 3
Using the scarf as the 3d section, braid your hair as usual.

Step 4
Tie the remainder of the scarf around the ends of your hair and secure with a hair tie.

That's all there's to it. Easy.

a southern romance

I love this Ruche lookbook so much it makes my eyes water.
I'm obsessed with the photography done by Stephanie Williams.
I'm so excited to be working here.
