A Day in the Life

(romper-One Teaspoon, hat-vintage, shoes-Zara, necklace- c/o 7fam X Nikki Reed, sunglasses-Karen Walker)
Yesterday I directed my very first bridal shoot.
I came up with the concept, the art direction, the styling, set design, casting, and created all of the flower arrangements myself. The shoot came out better than I could have ever hoped thanks to my amazing friends and collaborators. Raych, Sam, and Katie, I couldn't have done it without you.
I'll be sharing the photos soon, but for now here's a little glimpse from behind the scenes.
Also hop over to my Instagram for exclusive teasers from the shoot.

nostalgic

The Threadsence lookbook slayed me this time around. Shot in San Francisco, it fills me with
memories and a nostalgic longing of days gone by.

what I've been up to

I've been really busy with work and blog related projects this week, so since I haven't had the chance to shoot any outfits I thought I'd share some highlights from the last few days.
Last Friday I had the pleasure of attending dinner at Max Azria's stunning home, and yesterday I worked with the Ella Moss team to style their lookbook. Life is good.
Hope you're all having a wonderful week!

A Modern Day Goddess

A little sneak peek of the Threadsence lookbook I worked on a few weeks back.
I created all of the sets and flower arrangements and worked closely with the creative team to conceptualize the shoot.
You can see the full lookbook when it launches on Monday.

Souls of Mischief

I spent the last 5 months working on Threadsence's Coachella lookbook and  I'm beyond proud of what we accomplished.
You MUST watch the video and tell me what you think.
You can view the lookbook right below the video or go to Threadsence to see it in it's full glory.

Sharing is Caring

Tottaly blown with this sketch a reader sent over.

Here's a little collage UGG Australia put together of my trip to NYFW. After chatting with their team I'm pretty impressed with the brand's commitment to try incorporate an art centric focus into the curlture of the brand. See more here.

My favorite Threadsence moodboard to date. Those butterflies were handmade out of old vinly records.

A sneak peek at the Coachella inspired lookbook I worked on launching March 12th.

Let's Get Real

(jeans-Zara, sweater-Asos, blazer-Zara, denim vest-Mink Pink, boots-Rachel Comey c/o NeedSupply, watch- c/o Kenneth Cole, rings-Threadsence, c/o besobeso, LowLuv x Erin Wasson, socks-Happy Socks, sunglasses- c/o David Yurman)
Nothing gives me a high like being on set for a photoshoot, but I'd be lying if I said I looked anything but down right grungy ( aka dirty)  during our shoot days. And that's how I like it.
Here are a few shots of me looking prim, perfect, and glamorous at a recent lookbook shoot.
Oh and that stunning silver "wrap" billowing over my head is a space age blanket that supposedly kept our models from getting hypothermia.

What I do ...

Since I don't have an outfit post today, I thought it might be fun to share some of the creative work I've done for Threadsence. Most of what I do revolves around me dreaming up our features, lookbooks, and main page moodboards. I work closely with the creative team to conceptualize our themes, create moodboards, scout locations, build sets, and cast models. I also do most of the set styling. ( Note: I do NOT style the clothing, our amazing stylist Kat does). It's a dream job. Below are some of the latest projects I've worked on. I am most proud of my work on the We Are All Mad Here lookbook, as Threadsence pretty much gave me full control over the entire concept and set styling of the LB. We're shooting our next lookbook in February. We've been planning it since October and I can't wait see it come to life.

FUN FACT: This is not part of my "day" job at Threadsence and Ruche, it's just something I do on top of my marketing and social media work.

Happy Birthday Threadsence

As you can tell from the video above I work for the coolest company ever. Period.
We work hard, we play harder, and we have dogs running all around the office. You call it an office, I call it heaven.
Thank you Threadsence (and our big sister Ruche) for not only giving me a pretty little paycheck, but for letting me be as creative and crazy as I want to be.

Happy Birthday!

Work and play: photoshoot with Natalie Off Duty

Just a few pictures from this weekend's shoot with Natalie Off Duty.
I had such a blast styling Natalie for our shoot. She's a dream to work with and a fun time all around.
The editorial will be up on Threadsence in a couple of weeks.

Happy Labor Day!
