Here's a little collage UGG Australia put together of my trip to NYFW. After chatting with their team I'm pretty impressed with the brand's commitment to try incorporate an art centric focus into the curlture of the brand. See more here.

My favorite Threadsence moodboard to date. Those butterflies were handmade out of old vinly records.

Mini interview with Loeffler Randall and Late Afternoon

LR: What is your starting point for putting a look together?
LA: I always pick one piece that I know I want to wear, like a pair of shoes or a great jacket. Then I just build the rest of the look around the item. I pretty much try things on until the look feels "right".

LR:What current trends do you love and hate?
LA: I'm totally smitten with pastels and mint. I really don't mind dressing like a giant cupcake. I'm also loving neon and pajama dressing. A trend I'm not feeling? Overalls. Not for me.

LR:What are your favorite Los Angeles treasure troves?
LA: The Rose Bowl flea market is definitely one of my favorite places to find gems, as well as the Amsterdam Modern in Silverlake. I'm also obsessed with Pepe's for amazing antique furniture.

LR:How did you first discover Loeffler Randall?
LA: I remember working with an intern 3 years ago who wore the most amazing shoes all the time. Every time I asked what designer the shoes were, she'd always respond back with "oh they're Loeffler Randall". And that's what started my love affair with LR.

See how I've styled my new Loeffler Randalls here, here, and here.

DVF + Late Afternoon

I'm really excited to share this little collab a few bloggers and I did with DVF and Brad Goreski to highlight DVF's fall shoes.

Happy Monday kids!
I spent my Sunday searching out new vintage stores downtown. It's one of those things I've been meaning to do forever, but something always gets in the way (sleep, sunshine, traffic...LA things). After a few sartorial blunders in the form of unnecessary sequin kimonos, and a few misguided impulse buys, I made it out alive with a few swing coats and a pretty 60's shift. I finished off the trip with a celebratory street cart taco. Success.

Did you have a good weekend?

Please check out my Glitter Guide feature! Thanks.

Another example of my formula hard at work.
Hooray for easy summer dressing!
As you've probably noticed, Sam and I finally gained entrance unto our roof. We were pleasantly surprised to find a bbq already up there. We plan to follow suite and get our bbq on this weekend, aka Carmagedon to anyone in LA this weekend. Speaking of Carmagedon, did you know there is an app for that? and that JetBlue is (already sold out) offering $4 flights between the Long Beach and Burbank airports b/c of it? Yeah. uhuh. Welcome to LA.

*UPDATE* I'm beyond thrilled and honored to be nominated for Most Coveted Closet in the Polyvore Blogger Awards. Please vote for me (or anyone of the other AMAZING bloggers nominated, I'm in good company) by creating a set inspired by one of my looks. Thanks everyone, I really appreciate your vote!
