DVF + Late Afternoon

I'm really excited to share this little collab a few bloggers and I did with DVF and Brad Goreski to highlight DVF's fall shoes.
Here are some behind the scenes pictures, and please pop over to DVF to watch our videos.

Floor length sequins is always a good idea.

left behind

Today is moving day. And it is with a sting of nostalgia that I present to you these snaps of my old San Francisco apartment.
As much as I loved it, I will miss neither it's lack of space nor it's slopping floors.
A bigger apartment awaits in LA, which means I FINALLY get to decorate something that isn't the size of a closet.

See more pictures at How I Met Your Style.

bows and things

(shoes-Nine West, skirt-Zara, button down-thrifted, bag-Forever21, bow-vintage scarf)
When Nine West asked me to style their new Boutique 9 espadrilles I jumped at the chance.
Trying out a new pair of shoes always seems like a good idea. This particular pair is not as towering as the rest, but that's why I chose it. They're a nice day shoe for when I can't be bothered with platforms and monstrous heels. For the look I settled on my new skirt and trusty denim button down. I was feeling childish and slightly nostalgic that day, so a bow seemed like an appropriate finishing touch.

P.S. I have mad squinty eye in this photo.

P.P.S. Got my hair done. "Reveal" coming up...

A few snaps from yesterday's photo shoot with Ryan.

Check out my new Tumblr!

Sneak Peeks

A little Threadsence lookbook sneak peek.
I modeled and also styled a couple of the looks for the loobook. The floral top and blue dress are the looks I styled pretty much on the spot.

Going to Church

The final installment of our photoshoot.
In this shoot I am wearing a Motel dress and I am happy to announce that Motel is offering 20% off on all of their items to my lovely readers (sale items excluded), just enter the code lateafternoon.

Americana

The second installment of our photoshoot.
Aimee asked us to wear denim shirts and had the genius idea of using these glass coke bottles.

Enchanted

This is the first set of photos from the photoshoot I did with Aimee and Jennie.
This was our Enchanted Tea Party theme. We shot these in my backyard and I asked the girls to dress themselves in a girly, sweet and romantic look.
I love the way Aimee and Wes edited these, the light looks so whimsical and inviting.

Such a Tease

Today Aimee, Jennie and I had a little photoshoot. The pictures are nowhere near being done, but I thought I'd give you guys a little taste of what's to come.

Boy Meets Blogger Girl

I am ecstatic to finally reveal my collaboration with Boy Meets Girl.
Boy Meets Girl is a fun, flirty, and edgy brand run by Stacy and her creative team. When I stumbled across her brand I was delighted to find her pieces to be chic, comfortable and affordable, but definitely not without character. Stacy designs pieces that are in essence simple, yet full of charming details. Whether it's a lace trim or a small pin attached to the lapel, with Boy Meets Girl it's all in the details. With her F/W'10 collection she is moving into a new direction complete with faux leather, zipper and grommet details, while remaining true to the overall aesthetic of the brand.
Stacy and I have been in correspondence for a couple of weeks now, trying to decide the best way for us to partner. Because she knew I would be coming to New York, she asked me to drop by her office and style a couple of looks for her F/W lookbook. I was thrilled at the opportunity and humbled when I realized the lead stylist was none other than Ali Lang (stylist for MTV, who has also worked with a variety of celebs).
Although I can't reveal the looks I put together, here are a few shots of us playing around at the showroom.

Update: To my pleasant surprise I was quoted in a WWD article that discussed bloggers and the Chictopia10 Summit. Read the article here.
