Over the years my love of travel has grown to a point where being home for more than a few weeks seems daunting. Even if it’s just a short road trip to the desert or up North, I always feel the most inspired when I’m traveling. I love the feeling right before I go somewhere new and cherish the feeling of nostalgia when I visit a familiar place.

When Hat Attack approached me to design a hat for a mini collaboration I instantly knew that it was going to be inspired by my travels through France this summer. I chose a soft grey/ivory color palette reminiscent of the Parisian skyline and added the embroidered Au Revoir detail, which means goodbye in French. I love the way the hat turned out. It has become my favorite travel companion and the perfect fall accessory. The hat is now available at Hat Attack. Pick up yours today!

I’ve always had a soft spot for matching co-ords. I love the idea that I can wear them together or break them up to create multiple looks. This See by Chloe set is reminiscent of a ruffled dress I bought last year and wore on multiple occasions during the holidays. Since I still love that dress, reaching for it whenever I can’t find anything else to wear, I figured I’d love having something similar in separates. I wasn’t wrong. This skirt and blouse set is even lovelier than the dress that inspired the purchase. I can see myself pairing the skirt with a chambray top and sandals for a casual brunch date, or pairing the top with a skinny black trouser and heels for a date night out with Sam. The possibilities are plentiful and endless. I’m excited to continue styling the pieces while at the same time having an easy, chic go-to look for when I’m in a rush or feeling less than inspired.

I picked up both of these pieces from Farfetch. If you’re unfamiliar, Farfetch is a shopping destination that allows you to shop from over 700 boutiques all around the world. It’s perfect for when you’re searching for a specific item and you need it fast. My items came all the way from Italy and Poland, but arrived within days. They also offer free returns and pick ups, as well as same day delivery in certain cities. I shop almost exclusively at online stores and the ease that comes with buying from Farfetch is refreshing when you need the perfect item in a pinch. It gives you the opportunity to shop from boutiques you don’t have access to. and you know that you can return without going to the post office if it doesn’t work out.

I’m sure that by now you have all realized my love of France and my infatuation with the South of France and the region of Provence in particular. From the beautiful golden sunshine to the lavender fields that never seem to end, Provence exemplifies the “joie de vivre” (or exuberant enjoyment of life) ethos of French culture. Nothing has made my heart sing like the simple pleasures of picking fresh fruit and flowers grown in this sun-kissed countryside. It is no coincidence that many of the spots we visited during our stay in Provence, including the villa we rented, had soap and body washes from the iconic brand of Le Petit Marseillais™ . Born in Provence, the products capture the essence of the South of France and encapsulate the calm, generous feeling of the region. Le Petit Marseillais™  is the #1 body wash in France and now it’s available in the US, allowing you to get a small taste of the beautiful countryside and the aromatic scent of orange blossom, lavender and nectarines that accompany this beautiful place. To see the South of France for yourself, Le Petit Marseillais™ is hosting a sweepstakes for a chance to win a trip for two to Provence! You can enter at this link: http://us.france.fr/en/lpm.

As Sam and I plan our road trip through the South of France we’re most excited about spending time in Provence. I can’t wait to drive through the sun filled lavender fields, explore off the beaten path roads, and visit countryside villages as we make our way to the coast. While I anxiously await our trip I’ve been gravitating towards a Provence inspired fragrance, Terre De Lumiēre by L’Occitane. The bottle is designed to evoke the feeling of golden hour, while the notes of lavender and honey capture the welcoming warmth of the region. This fragrance is lush and luxurious, perfectly capturing the essence of  golden hour in Provence.

The last time I wore this jumpsuit was in June on the very first night of my very first visit to Paris with Sam. We were staying at the utterly magnificent Mandarin Oriental Paris, where we were treated to a sunset cocktail hour and one of the best meals I have ever had the pleasure of indulging in. The entire trip was magical, but nothing compares to that very first night.  I don’t think I will ever part ways with this jumpsuit. Every time I even look at it I am flooded with the memories of our trip.

It’s extraordinary how many of my memories are tied up with the clothing I wore at the time. Whenever Sam brings up a past trip or experience I can vividly remember everything I wore down to the accessories. It’s pretty crazy considering I have the worst memory. I can barely remember my wedding date, let alone birthdays, but inexplicably I remember every outfit I have ever posted on this blog and exactly what I did while wearing each outfit. To me this is the true power of fashion and why I continue sharing my personal style on this blog.

If you love fashion and personal style as much as I do, then I urge you to download the Trove app. It’s hands down the best way to shop and discover outfits from your favorite bloggers. To celebrate my partnership with Trove, we’re giving away the exact Chloé bag worn in this post. Go to my Instagram @LateAfternoon to enter the giveaway.
