I spent my whole life dreaming of visiting the South of France. I dreamt of picking fresh fruit and olives barefoot, lounging under fig trees and driving down to the Mediterranean to escape the summer heat. It always seemed like a place I’d fall in love with. This summer Sam and I finally had the chance to fulfill my travel dream when we took a road trip starting in Paris and ending in Saint Tropez. The entire experience was truly transformative and exactly as dreamy as I imagined. I can’t wait to go back and dream of spending an entire summer in Provence. In the meantime I’ve been filling my home and my life with reminders of our trip. Even my gifts are infused with these touches courtesy of LOccitane and their beautiful gift sets. This season LOccitane has partnered with UNICEF to donate $4 from the sale of each Shea Butter Collection or Shea Butter Deluxe Collection gift sets to help thousands of children around the world. What better way to celebrate the holidays than with beautiful gifts and beautiful intentions.

One of my favorite holiday traditions is to invite friends over for Friendsgiving. Living in LA, a lot of our friends have family scattered all over the country, so I try and have them over to celebrate before they leave for the holidays. With such a large group of friends, they are always leaving on different dates so instead of one large dinner party we have smaller groups over for a cocktail hour.

Today, I’ve partnered with CB2 to re-create our take on a cozy California Friendsgiving. Because we’re having smaller get- togethers instead of one big dinner, I think it’s fun to create a singular theme to tie the nights together. One of my favorite things to make in the cold months is a winter Sangria which lends itself perfectly for a cocktail inspired Friendsgiving. I like to accompany the Sangria with a selection of cheeses, small bites, and finger foods. Adding a few glam accessories like gold candle holders, beautiful serving platters, and long-stemmed glassware adds a glam touch to an otherwise fun, casual night.  After hosting these small get-togethers for the last few years, I’ve noticed that each night becomes uniquely special and intimate. It’s a lovely tradition that I hope we continue throughout the years.

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of going on an adventure with vineyard vines to celebrate the launch of their first LA store at the Westfield Century City, a must visit if you live in the Los Angeles area. We started our day with a helicopter ride to Catalina Island, one of my personal favorite spots for a quick getaway.  During our flight we saw a huge pod of dolphins and our pilot went in close enough to the water so that we could easily see them jumping and frolicking. The morning was chilly so I settled for their iconic cable knit sweater, dark skinny jeans and a soft scarf. Once we arrived on the island, we all had the chance to pick from a spa treatment or a zip lining tour to enjoy. I chose a facial after which I switched into a lovely cover up dress for our lunch on the beach. We wrapped up the afternoon with a helicopter ride back to the mainland. It was an amazing experience. The vineyards vines pieces I wore were perfect for our relaxing yet adventurous day. I especially loved how cozy and soft all of the knitwear was as well as their playful beachy pieces.

Over the years my love of travel has grown to a point where being home for more than a few weeks seems daunting. Even if it’s just a short road trip to the desert or up North, I always feel the most inspired when I’m traveling. I love the feeling right before I go somewhere new and cherish the feeling of nostalgia when I visit a familiar place.

When Hat Attack approached me to design a hat for a mini collaboration I instantly knew that it was going to be inspired by my travels through France this summer. I chose a soft grey/ivory color palette reminiscent of the Parisian skyline and added the embroidered Au Revoir detail, which means goodbye in French. I love the way the hat turned out. It has become my favorite travel companion and the perfect fall accessory. The hat is now available at Hat Attack. Pick up yours today!

I’ve always had a soft spot for matching co-ords. I love the idea that I can wear them together or break them up to create multiple looks. This See by Chloe set is reminiscent of a ruffled dress I bought last year and wore on multiple occasions during the holidays. Since I still love that dress, reaching for it whenever I can’t find anything else to wear, I figured I’d love having something similar in separates. I wasn’t wrong. This skirt and blouse set is even lovelier than the dress that inspired the purchase. I can see myself pairing the skirt with a chambray top and sandals for a casual brunch date, or pairing the top with a skinny black trouser and heels for a date night out with Sam. The possibilities are plentiful and endless. I’m excited to continue styling the pieces while at the same time having an easy, chic go-to look for when I’m in a rush or feeling less than inspired.

I picked up both of these pieces from Farfetch. If you’re unfamiliar, Farfetch is a shopping destination that allows you to shop from over 700 boutiques all around the world. It’s perfect for when you’re searching for a specific item and you need it fast. My items came all the way from Italy and Poland, but arrived within days. They also offer free returns and pick ups, as well as same day delivery in certain cities. I shop almost exclusively at online stores and the ease that comes with buying from Farfetch is refreshing when you need the perfect item in a pinch. It gives you the opportunity to shop from boutiques you don’t have access to. and you know that you can return without going to the post office if it doesn’t work out.
