This weekend I went to the flower market and picked up a magnificent amount of seasonal blooms. Feeling inspired, Sam and I decided to take BabyBlue up the coast to the canyons to shoot and we found this beautiful spot under an oak tree. Summer is officially here and I can’t wait to take BabyBlue on some road trips!
I’m currently working on redecorating our Hollywood bungalow. It really bugs me that I have to order and wait (insert dramatic wail) for weeks for every single piece of furniture I buy. I have no patience and like a petulant child “I Want It Now”. Unfortunately the world really doesn’t care about my struggle with delayed gratification, so I find myself in a half empty house waiting for my rugs, coffee table, bed, desk chairs, vanity and pretty much everything else. We do have a new couch so at least there is that. In the meantime I have this little corner that gives me joy. The gold tray is vintage and thus also totally crooked, but it’s one of my favorite antique finds and I can’t part with it. The whole corner started with the beautiful Gray Malin print. It’s one of the only pieces of art in our home that was not created by Sam. Also, if you notice the pink bag is a new iteration of another Mar y Sol bag I own. I absolutely love these bags and really feel they are worth the investment for a perfect beach bag.
Happy Friday, hope you all have a beautiful weekend. Thanks for reading.
One of the beautiful white sand beaches we found while wandering around Key West. We enjoy the slow pace of the Keys, there are endless beaches you can have all to yourself while taking in a beautiful sunset.
Another set of photos from our trip to Moab. We took these while exploring Arches National Park, my favorite portion of our trip. Although it may look a little gloomy, it was perfect. All the locals we spoke with told us that during and after the rain is the best time to see the park. The tourists that were there all started to scatter at the first sign of sprinkles, leaving us with the park basically to ourselves. We spent the afternoon wandering about the prehistoric arches and taking in some of the most majestic views ever.
A few months back I had the pleasure of working with a group of talented women. We put together a beautiful bridal shoot fit for my dreams. The reception portion featuring the breathtaking table design is showcased in the new issue of Flutter magazine.
I’ll share the rest of the shoot after the next feature is published, but for now enjoy a little sneak peek. I really loved that we shot these scenes barefoot. My shoes are always the first thing to come off.
