Today we are leaving for our European road trip. My bags are filled to the brim wth flirty dresses, summer sandals, and straw accessories. I’ve got endless lists of sites to see, towns to visit, and most importantly restaurants to over indulge at. I can’t wait to share our adventure as we travel through France, Italy, and Switzerland. The only disappointment is that our trip to Finland fell through, but a trip through Scandinavia is still at the top of the list, as well as hundreds of other places.

Follow our trip on my Instagram – @LateAfternoon, and keep a look out for our blog posts detailing the adventure.

As we get ready for our road trip through France and Italy, I can’t help but start dressing as if we are already in Provence. I’m thinking airy dresses and separates, paired with basket bags, straw hats, and oversized shades. Since I have to pack light I’m doing my best to pair down what I bring to only the essentials and a few key accessories. I’m beyond excited for our trip. I can’t wait to bring you all along on the adventure via blog posts, Instagram stories, and scenic pictures of a countryside rarely seen or experienced by most visitors to France and Italy.

I think you all know what my favorite color is by now.  So it’s no surprise that I was overly excited to learn of this amazing pink house art installation located near my home. It felt almost kismet that I had also recently purchased this vintage Dior logo knit dress from my favorite vintage store The Fine Art of Design in Palm Springs.

The art installation was created by @themostfamousartist and curated by Fredrik Lidskog of @impermanent_art. It’s located at 1500 Hi Point st. in LA. I highly suggest you drop by and see it for yourself if you’re in the area, but do it soon because it’s only temporary.  Since “that pink wall” on Melrose is so unbelievably played out this is a more than adequate replacement.

Platform in Culver City is quickly becoming my new favorite spot for shopping, eating, and simply hanging out on a slow day. Platform describes themselves as a collection of  innovative creative stores, eateries, and specialty businesses. A few of my favorites are Aesop for skincare, the newly opened Reformation store is perfect for when I need an outfit in a pinch. There is also Stay, a thoughtfully curated lifestyle store. Loqui has my favorite mushroom tacos and Van Leeuwen is the best for homemade ice cream. There is an abundance of other merchants I still need to check out, with more and more opening each time I come. Next time you’re thinking of something to do in LA make sure to drop in.

Many of you reached out to me asking for a tutorial when I showed my $2 DIY version of tassel earrings in my Insta Stories. So I got together with my bestie, Gregory, popped a bottle of Rosé and filmed this quick, easy tutorial. I really hate seeing myself in videos, so I’m not going to lie I’m cringing as I post this.  I hope you enjoy it and find it helpful. Let me know what you think and if you are interested in seeing more videos from me.
