I’ve always loved a good pleated skirt. I think it is a great addition to any seasonal wardrobe. This style has been around for decades and has consistently earned a spot in my wardrobe. My very first midi length pleated skirt was a gold vintage YSL piece that if you’ve been following this blog for a while is very familiar to you. This pale yellow version from Elizabeth & James is really lovely. Its’ subtle yellow hue makes it feel fresh and youthful. I can’t wait to continue styling it with booties, cozy sweaters and pretty coats as the weather cools off.

Something simple I’ve been wearing this week is this delicate silky slip dress.  A light jacket and layered gold accessories take the slip into the long summer nights. One of our favorite summer evening activities is the Yamashiro Night Market. It’s a low key farmers market with some great local food, live music, and breathtaking views of the city. With summer wrapping up I’m looking forward to fall, but I’ll miss all of the warm weather happenings that spring up around the city.

This summer has been all about summer dresses for me. I’m totally guilty of getting stuck in mini style ruts. I often gravitate to certain shapes, cuts. and colors. Twirl worthy maxi dresses and pretty floral prints are always going to catch my eye. It’s part of my personal style and I’ve learned to appreciate having a certain aesthetic that works for me.

Easy breezy outfit for a Monday spent running errands.  I picked up beautiful hydrangeas for the house, my favorite Diptyque candle, and a couple of new cook books. Summer days in the city of angels are long and slow, just the way I like them.

I think you all know what my favorite color is by now.  So it’s no surprise that I was overly excited to learn of this amazing pink house art installation located near my home. It felt almost kismet that I had also recently purchased this vintage Dior logo knit dress from my favorite vintage store The Fine Art of Design in Palm Springs.

The art installation was created by @themostfamousartist and curated by Fredrik Lidskog of @impermanent_art. It’s located at 1500 Hi Point st. in LA. I highly suggest you drop by and see it for yourself if you’re in the area, but do it soon because it’s only temporary.  Since “that pink wall” on Melrose is so unbelievably played out this is a more than adequate replacement.
