DESERT KIDS

DESERT-KIDS_1 DESERT-KIDS_2 DESERT-KIDS_3 DESERT-KIDS_4 DESERT-KIDS_5 DESERT-KIDS_6Sam and I are weird. We spend pretty much 24/7 together and we don’t seem to get sick of each other. That isn’t to say that we don’t have our share of fights or moments where we may or may not want to strangle each other, but somehow we still end up having a difficult time being apart. This was one of the main reasons behind our decision to work together on the blog. Everything we do is used as an opportunity to spend time together. It’s completely impossible for either of us to imagine life without the other. It’s both scary and wonderful. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I feel damn lucky to have met him and proud of myself for seeing him across the bar all those years ago and making my move. Yes, I approached and pursued him in a bar on Valentine’s Day. We never even went on a real date before saying “I love you”. All this after only two weeks having known each other.  It was the best decision I have ever made under the influence of beer. Probably the best decision I’ve made thus far.

I hope each and every one of you finds a loving partner you all deserve. I hope that you don’t waste time waiting for someone else to approach you. I hope this encourages you to make the move.
When you know what you want there’s never a reason to not go after it (or in my case him).

Heather - I love this post so much. I love the insight into other people’s lives esp ones you live through virtually. I was the one that approached my ex boyfriend. Though he wasn’t the one I was glad that I still was the one that made the move. With my husband, it just so happened that we were friends for a very long time and had mutual feelings for each other…and it’s always so funny and amazing going from close friends to friends in a relationship. Their is someone out there for everyone. Sometimes you just need to go for it.

Agnes W - How lovely hearing your story! Nothing weird about wanting to be with each other 24/7, I think it just shows your true depth of love for one another. I only say that because like you I am fortunate enough to be in the same situation. Funny enough, I picked up my boo too and knew I was in love with him the minute I laid eyes on him. Thank you for sharing your story and these great photos. Wishing you and Sam a lovely future together <3

    Happy Weekend!
