Flower Friday

Welcome to the second installment of Flower Friday. Today I've created a quick tutorial for making a flower crown. This is one of those projects that's a lot easier than it looks.
Start by picking up some flowers from your local florist. You can use any flower you like, the most important part is finding the right flowers for your base. I tend to look for long wispy branch like flowers that have flexible stems.

Step 1. Gather all of your flowers, sharp scissors, and twine.
Step 2. Use your "base" flowers to make a wreath around your head. Gently bend each stem into the shape of a semi-circle, letting the ends of the stems overlap.
Steps 3. After you've formed the base and sized it to fit around your head, secure it by tying the two stems together with yarn.
Steps 4 & 5. Add in the rest of your flowers securing them with yarn. As you add each flower, make sure to leave an inch or two of the stem and then wind the stems into the wreath to keep them in place. Repeat until you've created something you love.

Such a beautiful DIY, I'm always wearing these in the summer and spring, I can't wait to begin again once all this snow goes away!
