sheer

(dress- Nastygal, lace -c/o Modcloth, shoes-Alexander Wang, bag- c/o Kooba, red & coral bangles- Manifest/Manifest, jacket- c/o Style by Marina)
Loving the little bit of sunshine we've been getting, which means bare legs and light layering.

Almost ready to announce my big news.

daydreams

(via oracle fox, everything style, angy's tea room, threadsence lookbook)
I dream of blooming flowers, bare skin and golden sunsets.

the brightest crayon in the box

My outfit should come with a warning.

foggy

(grey top- gifted Leyendecker, white top- LF, pants-H&M, clutch-Marc by Marc Jacobs, shoes- Alexander Wang,
necklace- Forever 21, beaded bracelet -c/o Planet Blue)

Getting sick of this gloomy weather.

changes

(lace crop top- c/o Chic Shop, lace epaulet bra- c/o Free People, pants-asos, round ring- crossroads, other rings- H&M, F21, Erin Wasson, vintage)
I have some pretty big news to share, but I'm going to make you wait for it.
I haven't fully come to terms with this new life change.
And it's not: a pregnancy, an engagement, a wedding

And now a glimpse at my new hair.
Nothing really outrages, I've termed this my mermaid hair stage.
My hair has been every color you can imagine. From platinum blond, honey blond, ashy blond, dirty blond, pink and yellow, to light brown, chocolate brown, reddish brown, dark brown, black, red black, blue black, ombre.
Been there. Done that.
I just want locks down to my waist in luscious shades of honey and frosty lemon.

New hair courtesy of Shannon Dean at Revamp salon.
Shannon is by far the best hairstylist I've ever encountered.
He also happens to be a really good friend.

bows and things

(shoes-Nine West, skirt-Zara, button down-thrifted, bag-Forever21, bow-vintage scarf)
When Nine West asked me to style their new Boutique 9 espadrilles I jumped at the chance.
Trying out a new pair of shoes always seems like a good idea. This particular pair is not as towering as the rest, but that's why I chose it. They're a nice day shoe for when I can't be bothered with platforms and monstrous heels. For the look I settled on my new skirt and trusty denim button down. I was feeling childish and slightly nostalgic that day, so a bow seemed like an appropriate finishing touch.

P.S. I have mad squinty eye in this photo.

P.P.S. Got my hair done. "Reveal" coming up...

gloomy saturday

(coat- American Retro, pants-H&M, scarf-H&M, blazer-vintage, sweater-Forever 21, hat-Urban Outfitters, gloves- DKNY, shoes- Alexander Wang, bag-H&M)
Another rainy Saturday meant overdosing on fresh seafood from the Swan Oyster Depot.
The tiny place only seats 12 at their counter, and not surprisingly we still had to wait an hour even in the rain. But delighting in seafood that was caught only a few hours prior was well worth the wait.

mix and match

(leopard jacket- Crystalized Vintage, skirt- Zara, sweater-H&M, shoes-Zara, bag-H&M, necklace-vintage)
I love having basic pieces that I can easily mix and match to create outfits on the go, or rather after hitting the snooze button too many times. The metallic sweater and leather skirt are my foundations for easy dressing. They both have my go-to silhouette and pair up with just about anything in my closet.

city haunts

(dress- Dolce Vita also worn here, skirt- Zara, shoes-Alexander Wang, red snake skin bracelet, pyramid ring- Manifest/Manifest, silver bracelet - vintage, necklace-vintage, sunglasses- YSL)
I decided to rework this colorful dress into a top and give my new skirt a try. I think I'll be going beck to Zara to get this skirt in all the other colors. It's full and flirty with the perfect amount of bounce. A rare gem.
Sam and I pent a beautiful Sunday running around delighting in the city's finest. From the overdosing at the vintage expo to devouring too many crepes at Ti Couz, it was a fine day of indulgence.
I happen to find crepes to be the perfect vehicle for both sweet and savory flavors, but Nutella, banana, and whip cream crepes are my breakfast of champions.

rainy days

It's been raining like crazy lately, so I'm entertaining myself with magazines, cooking, and trying out new shades of lipstick. Whenever I find a new lip color I want to try I buy a cheap version first. I where it around and see if it "fits". If it's a winner, I buy a nicer version and throw the cheap one into one of my bags as a back up. This time I decided on rich purple and coral orange.
