I had a pleasant lunch with Sophia from Nasty Gal today.  Peeked at some drool worthy footwear while visiting the warehouse.

I love the way this skirt makes a rustling sound every time I walk.

Check out my little feature on Altamira. The picture was taken last September at NYFW.
Elle.es also featured me as one of their top 60 bloggers.

Childhood Games

(via fashiongonerogue)
I adore the playfulness and whimsy of this editorial. Alisa's wild hair, blue eyeshadow and red lips make me envision a time of late childhood/early adulthood when all you wanted was to be as cool as your older sister (if you had one, I didn't). You'd rummage through her closet and steal the family camera for a spontaneous photoshoot with your girlfriends. It reminds me that fashion is just the adult's fulfillment of their childhood game of dress up.

Keep it Casual

(shoes-rag&bone, jeans-Kasil courtesy of tobi.com, sweater-h&m men's section, shawl-traditional Russian scarf)
Sometimes it's nice just to keep it casual and since the weather has been pretty crappy here all the more reason to bundle up in a sweater and shawl combo.

Two Tone

Playing dress up is entertaining no matter how old you are. This look makes me think of the Japanese Lolita subculture, it's my "Amish Lolita" look. This may not be the usual look I am drawn to, but one cannot spend every day in lacy frocks and fluttering skirts. I enjoy exploring all the different variations of my personal style and today this look just felt right.

On a more humorous note I have recently discovered my addiction to both Planet Earth type shows and the Internet. Last night I stayed up until 3am watching a 4 hour special on ants while simultaneously youtubing kitten videos and updating my blog. Now that's what I call multitasking.

Met up with the lovely Carolina from Fashion Squad today.
If she was any cuter or sweeter I'd die from a toothache.

Get Lost

Sam and I spent the day getting lost and wandering through the city. Playing tourists, we visited all those places that as a San Franciscan you are too cool to admit you enjoy and than moved on to discovering unknown spaces. We stumbled across glorious views, magnificent houses and unexpected city treasures. There is something undeniably calming about aimlessly exploring the city as if mapping uncharted territory.
