Update*
Here are a couple features of me over at Through My Mirror and That's Deck .
Here is also a sweet little feature on my style over at It's My Darlin . Thanks Dana!

A pretty good day

Today two very wonderful things happened. I got a delightful pair of new shoes, Jeffrey Campbell 99 zip wedge, and I got new *hair*.
I love how the shoes look like they're almost molded to my feet, streamlined but with organic curves.

For my hair I went to one of the best salons in San Francisco and visited my new, permanent hair stylist and colorist. Brandi, the hair stylist, is probably one of the best I've had. She had the uncanny ability of knowing exactly what I wanted, as if she peaked inside my thoughts. She was incredibly precise and based her suggestions on what she thought would look best for me. Sarah, the colorist, was a doll! It is thanks to her that I got these marvelous shoes, she was wearing them this morning while doing my hair. She also did an amazing job, making my hair look just as I had imagined it. A huge thank you to the two of them for giving my hair the tlc it needed so badly.
These pics are either dark or flashed, so I'll take some in better lighting when I get a chance.
It's impossible to try to take pictures in my studio, the pets just attack me with love, affection and pleas for more food.
(jacket-F21, denim shirt-vintage, tank and necklace-F21, jeans-UO, rings-vintage)
A little shoot I did with Tobi . I have such a blast every time I work there everyone is funny and sweet and their stuff isn't so bad either.

Color Play

(jacket and scarf-H&M, skirt and top-UO, belt-vintage, shoes and socks-H&M, necklace-F21, bag -vintage Bally)
This outfit was inspired by a photo I found while leafing through the latest issue of Pop magazine. I loved the color palette instantly and knew I had to try putting something together in similar colors. This look is also inspired by all of the recent S/S runway shows, and the San Francisco Indian summer that has made the city muggy and uncharacteristically warm. There is also a hint of the Urban Warrior influence in this outfit, visible in my attempt to mix different leopard prints.
Starting my new internship at Nastygal this week and getting my hair done tomorrow, yeay for subtle changes in hair color and hour long commutes to Berkeley.

Simple Saturday

(blazer-H&M, blouse-Vintage, shorts-Vintage/DIY, thigh highs-H&M, boots-UO, jewelry-vintage, bag- vintage Bally)
I spent the day on Saturday hiding out in Borders and overdosing on fashion rags. The only magazine I actually purchased was POP, and let me say that it was well worth the $15 I spent. I absolutely loved the article on Tavi and the interview with young bloggers on the digitalization of fashion. We are at a pivotal point in fashion right now, the digital revolution is coming and it's time for the industry to embrace it. Reading the interviews was really inspiring and it rekindled some of the passion and curiosity that got lost in the stress of school, work and adult life.
I also picked up Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged and Jack Kerouac's The Subterraneans. I am not really sure how I lived this long without reading Atlas Shrugged, but I guess better late than never.

Urban Warrior

I see a new trend developing here. I am loving all the animal print and tribal themes, a refreshing change after months and months of leather, studs, and the 80's.

Hunny Bunny

Christina and I went to Scott Schuman's book signing last in SF and lets just say it was a scene. We got there 45min early and the line was already almost around the corner. We stood in line until 8:00pm when the lovely door ladies announced that they may not have enough books for us. Yeah, we had waited that long and maybe we should have stayed just to try, but we were hungry and the promise of a delicious Thai dinner was too much to resist.
I woke up feeling really sick today, but likely my shoot was canceled. Here are some pretty pictures for you all to enjoy. I found these photographs by John Sturges for Maria Claire Italy to be absolutely divine. After seeing this picture how can you not want bunny ears?...

He Needed a Friend

(blazer-vintage, sweater- ZARA, silk tee-vintage, shorts-H&M, shoes-UO, long necklace-F21, coin necklace-vintage)
I found this lonely cone outside my apartment yesterday on my way home from work. I could see he needed a friend, so I decided to include him in my picture.

Here are some behind the scene pictures from Nastygal.
Stacy is the stylist/make-up artist. She does an incredible job at putting everything together and achieving the Nastygal look. She is absolutely the most glamorous and precious person I have ever met.
Nick is the styling assistant and as he would put it "I adore him!".
He has the most excruciatingly fabulous cape/coat and I need one like it.

A Long One

This gloomy, cold weather is making it difficult to want to get out of bed...must drink more caffeine.
Since I have finally started to make money, I treated myself and the bf to a shopping spree this weekend. I purchased an array of black pants and cozy knits for myself and gifted the bf with his first leather jacket. It's nice get new things, but even nicer when it's with your own hard-earned money.
(trousers-ZARA, sweater-H&M, scarf-H&m, shoes- Aldo, clutch-vintage)
On Friday night I had the pleasure of attending the Acrimony store opening in SF with the lovely Christina from NobodyKnowsYou . We had a nice time checking out the store and chatting about blogging stuff. I wore my new Zara skinny trousers and H&M sweater, simple and warm.
(skirt-H&m, sweater-ZARS, jewelry-F21 & vintage, shoes-Aldo)
The other night, while my bf and I were walking through the Financial District on our way home from a date, I had the bright idea of shooting an outfit post among the Financial District skyscrapers. This Saturday we went back and reenacted my idea, I love the way the pictures turned out and I think I will be going back for more shoots. Something about the sheer size of the buildings just makes me feel so totally inconsequential.

Rainy Days

(leggings-Silence and Noise, sweater-vintage, hat-UO, gloves-H&M, shoes-volitile)
I have been enjoying my recent busyness, it gives me a sense of purpose and I hope it continues.
I just want to thank all of my readers and everyone who has been doing features and commenting on my blog. I wish I had a bit more time to visit all of your blogs and respond to your comments but right now things are a bit hectic. I really do appreciate every new follower and comment I get.

A few of my favorites over at NastyGal right now. Working there is a double edged sword, I may be making money but all I want to do is buy all the wonderful goodies I try on.

P.S. Check out my feature over at Sterling Style. Thanks Taylor!
Also check out my Fall Fashion Update on my friend's website Jessica.com.
This feature is from awhile back but check it out anyways at Fashion Without Guilt .

Lovely Little Things

(via Style.com)
Right now I am really drawn to these two looks, probably because neither would be at all wearable in this gloomy weather. The Chloe suit looks so comfortable yet chic, while the McQueen dress is making me deliriously intent on finding a similar, vintage version. I really must say that I loved the dresses McQueen put out on the runway, I am not much of a dress person but I would weep tears of pure joy if I were to ever own one of these.

Young Devochka

(cape-Nastgal Vintage, vintage, fur headpiece- vintage, jeans-BG, tunic-Joie, boots-UO)
This has been another long and fun weekend for me. I left my house Friday morning to shoot for Nastygal and haven't been back since. We shot at an antique, decrepit hotel, with one other model and the shoot had a really spontaneous, easy-going feel (a bit like Wildfox). I ended up staying the night in Berkeley and then made my way down to Santa Cruz on Saturday to see some friends. These are some of my new vintage pieces, bought over the weekend.

On the Go

I have been terrible at taking pictures this week, promise I'll make up for it this weekend. I spent half the week regaining my sanity (post-lovefest) and the last half of the week interviewing, interning, and modeling for Nastygal. Speaking of which I am off to another Nastygal shoot right now, so I will leave you with this amazing image.

Don't forget about the Nastygal Street Sale this Saturday at 10:00 am in Berkeley.

P.S. Google reader users, are you having a hard time seeing my pics in google reader?
