Jumping on the Cropped Top Bandwagon

(tank-Obey, jeans- UO, belt-vintage, shoes- Chinese Laundry, jewelry- vintage)
I just bought this cropped top yesterday and I think it's a new favorite. It is produced under Shepard Fairey's clothing label Obey, they make some really cool stuff. For those of you who don't know, Shepard Fairey is street artist best known for his Obama "hope" poster. I love how playful and simple his clothing is and how all of the pieces have that distinct laid back California vibe I always go for.

Bloomers

(shorts-thrifted, tank- UO, shoes- UO, belt- thrifted, necklace- DIY)
I bought these shorts a while ago but just finished reworking them. They used to be long, super high waisted mom shorts now they are short, high waisted, cuffed bloomer-like shorts. I think they will be great as an alternative to jean cutoffs.
Hope everyone is having a great week!

Playing Favorites

(jeans-F21, blazer- '96 Emporio Armani, shirt- tiff, shoes- Implo, socks- Longs drugstore, sweater- Silence and Noise, clutch- vintage)
I am playing favorites with the pieces in my wardrobe. Lately these jeans have become an everyday staple. I stole the blazer from my mom, I am pretty sure  that it is from the 1996 Emporio Armani collection. I am really loving relaxed layers for our bipolar weather and wearing socks has become a new obsession.
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend, I am going to go prepare for my bbq.

City Night

(jeans-F21, blazer-H&M , sweater- silence and noise, shirt- ?, vest- OU, shoes- volitile)
Last night we drove up to San Francisco for my baby's art show reception. We took the coast up and stopped to snap some pics. After the reception we headed to a friend's house in the Mission for home made ice cream cake and other silly things. The night ended with burgers and fries from In -n- Out at 1 am. A perfect evening.
I have been favoring this silhouette and my beaded vest lately. I think it's time to invest in more sparkly pieces, I like the way they spice up an outfit and can be incorporated into day or night.

Sunday, Pool Side

(pants-F21, hat-thrifted, top-AA romper, bracelet- thrifted, shoes-DSW)
Yesterday was my baby's birthday and we celebrated by lounging around the pool and doing nothing at all. School is taking over my life right now, I feel so drained I can't even put together a decent outfit... just four weeks to go though!

All dressed up and nowhere to go

Working on my paper. Promise to be a better blogger soon!
My ripped leggings are proving to be very versatile.

Dumpster Diving Leads to Hidden Treasure

I found these vintage Christian Dior glasses in a dumpster today, I kid you not. All I need are some new tinted lenses and I am set.
(button up- UO, tank- F21, sash as headwrap- AA, leggings- AA, shoes- DSW, earrings-H&M)
I am absolutely swamped with school work and life stuff right now. I promise I'll reply to comments soon. I am heading down to LA this week to see the family and take care of some business and hopefully being home will bore me into working on my paper (fingers crossed).
Obsessed with my new ripped leggings and this particular look. I have been wearing variations of the look above all week, reminds me of a greaser babe.

Sweet Nothing

The shorts are perfect and so is the hat.

Peaking into Windows

(shirt-random store, jeans-F21, shoes- OU, traditional Russian scarf, bracelet-F21,)
When I am in the city (San Fran.) I like to spend time peeping into the windows of the hostel next door...

My love took me on a dinner date last night, this is what I wore.
We went to one of our favorite spots, a lounge/bar/restaurant where they have the most amazing cheese plate and a great assortment of beer ( I am a huge beer girl). I got a bit tipsy at dinner and by the time my girlfriends called me to go out I was sound asleep in my bed.
P.S. I will be working on my 50 page lit search paper for the next two weeks, so posting may be sporadic.
P. P. S. Thank you everyone for your comments and for stopping by my blog, you guys have no idea how excited I get when I see a new comment or a new follower. Happy Sunday!

It's Too Bad She Won't Live but Who Does?

(blazer-thrifted, jeans- UO, shoes-UO, shirt-H&M, tulle tank-H&M, clutch-vintage, rose ring-F21, earrings- F21)
My San Francisco trip went great. I love taking the train, it's only a two and a half hour trip and perfect for catching up on my reading.  While I was up there I had the pleasure of meeting Helen, the founder of Chictopia. She was incredibly sweet and gave me lots of advice on where I should I live when I move to SF. She also gave me some amazing compliments on my style and blog, which actually stunned me as they were totally unexpected.  The rest of the trip went by too quick but I did get to eat Korean food ( my favorite) and go shopping with my F21 gift card from Weardrobe.com. This is the outfit I wore when I met up with Helen.

Watched BladeRunner last night, if you have not seen it you should.  It's one of those films that you may not like but you have to see it and judge it for yourself. The film is a cult classic, a noir sci-fi thriller, genius.  It's perfect if you're looking for some futuristic inspiration.
